This Program is designed for anyone interested in producing music on his or her computer, regardless of style, this course provides an overview of the wide range of tools available to the modern electronic musician. Through hands-on exercises and projects, you’ll experience the process of producing a piece of music with your computer, from developing the original musical idea through to the final mix. This course will teach you not only how to design and configure an electronic music studio that supports your creative goals, but also how to understand and utilize the most popular tools and techniques employed by electronic musicians. You’ll learn how to set up audio interfaces, microphones, MIDI sequencers, synthesizers, drum machines, and more to effectively create and produce your music ideas. In addition to an in-depth exploration of traditional mixing topics such as balance, EQ, dynamics, spatial effects, and automation, you’ll explore pitch and time correction and mixing for digital streaming services. Throughout the course, you will mix 12 provided recordings in a variety of styles, including R&B/hip-hop, pop, electronic dance, country, bongo, Afro pop, rock and others. This work requires you to organize, implement, and execute large multitrack mixes in a DAW mixdown environment, in addition to executing technically and creatively advanced mixing techniques and preparing mixes for contemporary streaming formats. ​ By the end of the classes, you will be able to: ​ Organize, implement, and execute large multitrack mixes in a DAW mixdown environment Execute technically and creatively advanced mixing techniques Mix for contemporary streaming formats Execute advanced mixing techniques, such as pitch and time corrections Produce a professional mix across a number of popular musical genres ​ The advanced music mastering techniques In Advanced Music Mastering: Theory and Practice, you will develop your analytical and practical skills to be able to tackle the demanding signal processing challenges presented to professional mastering engineers. You will learn theory and techniques to deliver high-quality masters in a variety of genres, for various platforms, including vinyl, lossy codecs, and streaming platforms. You will also learn to analyze audio according to its technical attributes and musical style. You will evaluate audio according to audience and market expectations; then develop and execute strategies to adapt mixed audio to fit those expectations, and learn to output flawless masters for various distribution channels. ​ By the end of the classes, you will be able to: ​ Create flawless masters for various distribution channels Synthesize mastering strategies to solve signal-processing challenges Select techniques to deliver high-quality masters Properly analyse audio according to its technical attributes and musical style Evaluate audio according to audience and market expectations Develop and execute strategies to adapt mixed audio to fit those expectations

DJ Program

This course is for those looking to begin DJing as a hobby or a potential career path. The course is in two levels in the first level you will learn a diverse range of DJ techniques and tricks covering fundamentals including beat matching and EQ-ing, through to more advanced techniques including harmonic mixing, looping, effects, scratching and much more. You will also learn how to use Pioneer’s rekordbox software to analyse, organise and play your music, and maximise the potential of industry-standard Pioneer DJ hardware. At Level 2 you will expand your knowledge covering topics including Hot Cues, acapella mixing, effects, building your brand, and DJ software (Serato & Traktor Pro), and learn how to record, edit, and produce mixes to a professional standard. For this course you will be required to have; •An external disk (Mandatory) •Professional DJ Headphones (Mandatory) •Personal Laptop (optional)
